This guide shows you how to reset your password if you have forgotten it on mit.available.dk.
Prerequisites
- You must know the email address linked to your account
- You must have access to your email inbox
Accessing the reset page
- Open your browser and navigate to mit.available.dk
- Go to the login page
- Click the "Forgot password?" link below the password field
You can also go directly to /reset-password.
Requesting a reset link
- Enter your email address in the field
- Click the "Send reset link" or "Request reset" button
- You receive a confirmation that the link has been sent
Important: The link is sent to the email address linked to your account.
Checking your email
- Open your email inbox
- Find the email from mit.available.dk
- Open the email and click the reset link
Important: The link is only valid for a limited time. Use it as soon as you receive it.
Resetting your password
- You are directed to the reset page
- Enter your new password in the "New password" field
- Confirm your new password by entering it again in the "Confirm password" field
- Click the "Reset password" button
Your password is now reset.
Password requirements
Your new password must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters - The password must be at least 8 characters long
- Strong password - It is recommended to use a combination of letters, numbers and special characters
Confirmation
After you have reset your password:
- You receive a confirmation
- You can now log in with your new password
- Click the "Log in" button to go to the login page
Error handling
Not receiving the reset link
If you do not receive the reset link:
- Check the spam folder - The email may have ended up in spam
- Check that the email address is correct - Make sure you have entered the correct email
- Wait a moment - The email can take a few minutes to arrive
- Try again - Request a new link
- Contact support - If the problem persists
The reset link does not work
If the reset link does not work:
- Check that the link has not expired - Links are only valid for a limited time
- Check that you are using the correct link - Use the link from the most recent email
- Request a new link - Go back to the reset page and request a new link
- Contact support - If the problem persists
Cannot reset the password
If you cannot reset your password:
- Check that the passwords match - The two passwords must be identical
- Check that the password meets the requirements - Minimum 8 characters
- Check that the link has not expired - Request a new link if necessary
- Contact support - If the problem persists
The email address does not exist
If the system says that the email address does not exist:
- Check that the email address is correct - Make sure you have entered the correct email
- Check that you have an account - You must have an existing account
- Contact support - If you believe you have an account
Security tips
- Use the link quickly - Reset links expire after a while
- Never share the reset link - The link is personal and must be kept secret
- Use a strong new password - Combine letters, numbers and special characters
- Log in straight away - After resetting, log in to confirm that it works
