This guide shows you how to manage users and roles in your organisation in mit.available.dk.
Prerequisites
- You must be logged in to mit.available.dk
- You must have the
tenant:users:viewpermission to see users - You must have the
tenant:users:managepermission to create, edit or delete users
Access user administration
- Log in to mit.available.dk
- Click "Organisation" in the navigation menu
- Select "Organisation" from the dropdown menu
- Click "Brugere & Roller"
You can also go directly to /users.
See existing users
On the users page, you can see a list of all users in your organisation with:
- Name - The user's full name
- Email - The user's email address
- Role - The user's role in the organisation
- Department - Which department the user belongs to
- Status - Whether the user is active or inactive
Create a new user
- Click the "Tilføj bruger" or "Opret bruger" button
- Fill in the form:
- Name - The user's full name
- Email - The user's email address (used for login)
- Department - Select which department the user is to belong to
- Role - Select the user's role (if available)
- Click "Opret bruger"
The user receives an email with instructions for creating their password.
Edit an existing user
- Find the user in the list
- Click "Rediger" or use the menu next to the user
- Update the desired details:
- Name - Update the user's name
- Email - Update the email address (be careful - this affects login)
- Department - Move the user to a different department
- Role - Update the user's role
- Click "Gem ændringer"
Delete a user
- Find the user in the list
- Click "Slet" or use the menu next to the user
- Confirm the deletion
Important: Deleting a user cannot be undone. Make sure this is correct before you confirm.
Manage user roles
Users can have different roles with different permissions:
See the user's role
- Find the user in the list
- See the "Role" column to see the user's current role
Update the user's role
- Find the user in the list
- Click "Rediger"
- Select the desired role from the dropdown menu
- Click "Gem ændringer"
Understand roles
Different roles grant different permissions:
- Administrator - Full access to the organisation
- User - Standard user with limited permissions
- Reader - Read-only access to information
The exact permissions depend on your organisation's configuration.
Assign a user to a department
- Find the user in the list
- Click "Rediger"
- Select the desired department from the dropdown menu
- Click "Gem ændringer"
The user is now assigned to the selected department.
Deactivate a user
If a user is to have their access temporarily deactivated:
- Find the user in the list
- Click "Deaktiver" or use the menu
- Confirm the deactivation
The user can no longer log in, but their data is retained.
Reactivate a user
- Find the deactivated user in the list
- Click "Aktiver" or use the menu
- Confirm the activation
The user can now log in again.
Filter and search users
On the users page, you can:
- Search for users - Use the search field to find specific users
- Filter by department - Show only users from a specific department
- Filter by role - Show only users with a specific role
- Sort the list - Click column headings to sort
Troubleshooting
Cannot see the users page
If you cannot see the users page:

Check your permissions - You must have the
tenant:users:viewpermission - Contact your administrator - Your role may need to be updated
Cannot create users
If you cannot create users:

Check your permissions - You must have the
tenant:users:managepermission - Check that there is a department - You must have at least one department in your organisation
- Check that the email is unique - The email address must not already be in use
Cannot edit a user
If you cannot edit a user:

Check your permissions - You must have the
tenant:users:managepermission - Check the user's role - Some users may have protected roles
- Contact your administrator - If the problem persists
