This guide shows you how to manage departments in your organisation in mit.available.dk.
Prerequisites
- You must be logged in to mit.available.dk
- You must have the
tenant:departments:viewpermission to view departments - You must have the
tenant:departments:managepermission to create, edit or delete departments
Access department management
- Log in to mit.available.dk
- Click "Organisation" in the navigation menu
- Select "Organisation" from the dropdown menu
- Click "Departments"
You can also go directly to /departments.
View existing departments
On the departments page, you can see a list of all departments in your organisation with:
- Name - The department's name
- Contact person - The person who is the contact person for the department
- Address - The department's address
- Phone number - The department's phone number
- Payment method - Which payment method the department uses
Create a new department
- Click the "Add department" or "Create department" button
- Fill in the form:
- Name - The department's name (required)
- Contact person - Name of the contact person (required)
- Street - Street address (required)
- City - City (required)
- Postcode - Postcode (required)
- Phone number - Phone number (required)
- Billing email - Email for billing (required)
- PO number - Purchase order number (optional)
- Click "Create department"
The department is created and shown in the list.
Edit an existing department
- Find the department in the list
- Click "Edit" or use the menu next to the department
- Update the desired information
- Click "Save changes"
The changes are saved and shown immediately.
Configure payment method
In order to purchase service agreements or prepaid hours, the department must have a payment method:
- Find the department in the list
- Click "Edit"
- Scroll down to the "Payment method" section
- Select a payment method:
- Credit card - Add a credit card
- Other method - If available
- Follow the instructions to configure the payment method
- Click "Save changes"
Important: Without a payment method, the department cannot purchase service agreements or prepaid hours.
Delete a department
- Find the department in the list
- Click "Delete" or use the menu next to the department
- Confirm the deletion
Important: Deleting a department cannot be undone. Make sure this is correct before you confirm. The department must not have any active service agreements, prepaid hours or users before it can be deleted.
View department details
- Find the department in the list
- Click the department or the "View details" button
- View detailed information about the department
You can see:
- All information - Complete information about the department
- Associated users - Users who belong to the department
- Service agreements - Service agreements linked to the department
- Prepaid hours - Prepaid hours linked to the department
Error handling
Cannot view the departments page
If you cannot view the departments page:

Check your permissions - You must have the
tenant:departments:viewpermission - Contact your administrator - Your role may need to be updated
Cannot create departments
If you cannot create departments:

Check your permissions - You must have the
tenant:departments:managepermission - Check that all required fields are filled in - All fields marked with * are required
- Check the email format - The billing email must be a valid email address
Cannot delete a department
If you cannot delete a department:
- Check that the department is empty - The department must not have any users, service agreements or prepaid hours
- Move users first - Move users to other departments
- End service agreements - End or cancel service agreements first
- Contact support - If the problem persists
Cannot configure payment method
If you cannot configure a payment method:
- Check that the department has been created - The department must exist first

- Manage users - Go to Organisation > Users & Roles
- Assign users to departments - When you edit users
- Purchase service agreements - Go to Products > Support > Service agreements
