Deleting cookies and website data

The quick tip (the shortcut)

If you are already on a Zendesk page and need to delete data straight away, you do not need to go through the main menus:

• Chrome & Edge: Click the padlock (or the "settings icon") directly to the left of the web address in the field at the top. Select Cookies and site data and then Manage cookies and site data. Here you can delete everything for the specific domain.

• Firefox: Click the padlock or shield icon to the left of the URL field and select Clear cookies and site data.

Google Chrome (Version 146, 147 & 148)

In 2026, Chrome's privacy settings are centred around the "Privacy Sandbox", but you can still remove specific domain data manually:

1. Click the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select Settings.

2. Go to Privacy and security on the left.

3. Click Third-party cookies (or "Site data").

4. Select See all site data and permissions.

5. Search for "zendesk.com" in the search field.

6. Click the bin icon next to the result and confirm with Delete.

Microsoft Edge (Version 145, 146 & 147)

Edge uses a similar structure, but with a focus on its own security tools:

1. Click the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select Settings.

2. Select Cookies and site permissions in the menu on the left.

3. Click Manage and delete cookies and site data.

4. Select See all cookies and site data.

5. Search for "zendesk" in the top right.

6. Click the arrow next to the domain and press Delete (or select "Remove all shown").

Mozilla Firefox (Version 148, 149 & 150)

Firefox prioritises data separation, which makes it easy to target precisely the cookies that are causing trouble:

1. Click the three horizontal lines (menu) and select Settings.

2. Select Privacy and security.

3. Find the Cookies and site data section and click Manage data....

4. Type "zendesk.com" in the search field.

5. Select the row with the website and click Remove selected.

6. Press Save changes and confirm the deletion.
